The Greater Columbus Chapter held its "Humanitarian of the Year" luncheon today. It was wonderful. Next year our whole board needs to go. And, we will have our own Hero Breakfast within the year. Most important, Union County has so many incredible local heroes deserving of recognition. The local chapter of the American Red Cross is just the right facilitator for such an event.

I agree with your observation that Union County has many local heroes. Some are day-to-day heroes that go unnoticed by all but the benefactors. Others do extraordinary things that sometimes are forgotten in our busy lives. It will be a challenge to select from all the possible candidates!
